Excuse me, this movie is U/A

and then I realized that the gal standing before me is a minor. thats also one good thing about pune. U can (ok at least I) can not estimate the age of a person by her looks. the movie was Ocean's 12 . After taking the those 2 tickets( which shd go to those gals), I went to them and Ladies, Soft Luck ;) .
Movie is good, but as we ppl have seen the first one, we can expect the directional twists in this one too. the crowd sitting behind me though have 2 less than 12 years also. Say Merry Xmas and then give U shokalada in various flavours, I got it 3 times that day in MG road, even one satna gal gave me 4 pieces in a titan showroom.
Panwar was here for 2 days and when he will go back to meet ashu, he will tell him surely of the life, we are spending here. then ashu will write somethin about me here. and gaurav jain is also coming for new year eve in pune, ppl can remember the Don't get angry demo again.
A new microsoft ad in india saying that how to confirm that your XP is the correct one, and bought from them only. they boasted in ad that the real one consist of various security features. so guys, enlighten your hearts and buy the original. the bottom line is that This ad was on last page ;)
also expecting the USA guys cm, ravi, tarun and now our very own sardar there, to give new year adventures to share.

apna diya, lighting at neighbour's house...

ppl must have watched swades and I will try to, rather not to get emotionaly taken away on discussing it but blogs are suposed to be personal statements and let them be so.
watched it yesterday and liked it. specially the script,,remember the rural touch in lagaan and U will remember the name of K.P. Saxena. I remember him as when I was a child I lived in indranagar in lucknow and my father used to show me his house, and he had delivered to bollywood two of its great dialogues in lagaan and swades, in his sixties, arare old wine to relish.
gayatri joshi per dil aa gaya. aur there are reasons for that. even srk had done his bit without his biggest problem (overacting). could be more eloborate on feasability for joining vikram sarabhai space centre after NASA. there are many such successful cases in past like ppl joining drdo or isro after 10 years of job positions in usa univs. Like ashutoshalways tellin me that it not the india which has become white elephant, but us only .
I scream Icecream and U gave me eye's cream. early voice recognition systems had this problem of when to make grouping. CM knows the whole technical keywords and prof VS Sarma of IISC comp science is teaching me system engg these days. nowI can appreciate cm's fascination about machine translation, knowledge discovery, congative sciences and all..solving spouse selection problem with satisficing and traffic solution models for IISc gates.
moi(pranshu's way) enjoyin the flavours and spice of pune more.
eat chicken biriyani (spicest so far), then kaju anjeer kulfi, and wat more after swades.
meet the dashing debasis dash before movie; got call from ashu about gatech grad school requirements, while mohan bhargava usa citienship is being confirmed ; a call from home and missed the whole saawariaaa song. conectivity at its good, got my personal saki story collection, ( CM I asked U so many times to get one from your home for me.)
also learned something like
it is not more important to do things rightly but to do right things.

hey i got the hair cut

so next phase is starting from tomorrow after just finishing my sort of endsems on which this year confidencial personal assessment report CPAR wil depend upon. this phase will have some lectures from management gurus from iims and few technical case studies.
relaxin a bit these days by shuttling a lot in indoor, watching good movies on DVDs, hanging out more frequent, learning DSP( dont blame me).. and since chatu left mozart apart and sttart hindi songs, me also gettin sort of addicted to sony diskman these days.
and hair cut... after 4 years of having bigsidelocks and uncombed ones, I converted them in more serious cut "forrest gump frame" which accidently give a much needed defence scientist look and more accidently give an impression of NDA personnel when I went to FC road in white shirt and stee grey pants on this weekend. this NDA looks are great as every gal from ILS want to go on date with NDA guys and attend the famous NDA ball. ;)
searching for gayatri joshi of my life(swades frame) and one thing I also want to get this room bearer changed. I dont like his face. huh..

Phir teri kahani yaad aayi

phir teri kahani yaad aayi, being nostalgic is not the first thing I prefer on weekends, specially when it only begets pain. still I remembered the whole lot of failure of life and feel low, surely not because of the cool mule suggested guide to losers Alchemist. After all System has to respond to small perturbations here and there.
One of the fellow scientist got schol from UIUC for spring (he is mtech dual chemical from iitm). Though they say the matching of 90% is good enuf in IP, my earlier rejection letter from the same place is still waiting to be disposed. Also one IISC gal is making me read her SOP and discussing the apping issues, showing her reco letters, making me remind of Munna Bhai of MMBS
Sapna toota hai to, dil kabhi jalta hai,
haan thoda dard hai, per chalta hai ||

but the weekend was still not over, completed the Half a life of VS Naipaul, I met Dr Pillai, the chief controller of R&D, most probably the next SA to Defence Ministry. the most noticable thing about this person is( which makes him in the limelight last week) He is the CEO and Managing Director of BRAHMOS AEROSPACE. the cruising supersonic antiship missile of india and russia is 3 times faster than next best TOMAHAWK. WE saw the videos of flight trials from different plateforms.

Tamso Maa... Lost in translation

It all happened in today's beam rider trajectory planning session. During break, one of the guy stood and asked the meaning of Tamso Maa Jyotirgamayah...and to best of our assumption, here comes the answer Tum so jaao maa, main jyoti ke paas jata hoon... means You go for sleep mother, I am goin to jyoti...
never lost in translation like this. also my Tshirt which read Workohalic, which sometime means better take alcohol before goin for work. Though being in pune was never a problem as the script is same and marathi is also much closer to hindi. But with less than 3 weeks for my goin to Hydarabad and I will be havin the frequent trips to Orrisa as well, problems will gonna be more. Ok U can learn Telgu but this is not the end. your aeronautical partner labs are mostly in Bangalore so kannad as well, if in Bhramos advanced phases then russian as well. so finally learning german is not paying much. Much like uniform civil code, we shd better have a uniform language scheme for a place like india for which it is famous that
Kos kos per badle pani, chaar kos per baani
means at every mile water taste changes and at every nibble mile language also changes.

food for thought,

Lost in translation

reading the sunday Times is never been so amusing when the headline is Lost in Translation. For the whole saturday I keep cursing the indian govt for not making the perfect ten plans in terms of policies which affects the nation in long run. The Statement of Putin comes like a set back to all indian plans for a permanent seat in UNSC with full veto. But all well if end is well and sure it is so. Whatevr comes finally but India shd take few points from here about never being so sure about anything.
In all this huss huss one thing is forgotten ie Bhramos is finally ready to be marketted. AS per CEO of Bhramos Aeronauticals, around 10 countries are ready to buy this supersonic mlong range cruise missile. This is a marvel in its own catogory where the second best is TOMAHAWK. Right now only anti ship version is ready but when I join lab, the second phase of including it as a air to surface missile with SU30 as the launcher will be on the roll. As I promised, this is a titzbitzs of the unclassified information that I have. Obviously I am not gonna tell neone about the technical details. :-
with fellow bloggers not blogging these days, I am also finding it hard to keep writing. hey CM and ashu, jaago aur write somethin to comment upon and plz yaar comment karo.
I was surfing through my intranet DRONA and saw the details about my lab.ohh haa or aaho kuch bhi kaho.. 2100 acres of land..is neone comparing with IITK size ...no way.

it was five past midnight

It was 5 past midnight, ya some of U must have guessed right, it was 5 past midnight in bhopal. and today eveen after 21 long years have been passed, we are still recovering from the scar that the union carbide has given on our face, right on our forehead. and this scar is nothing to be proud of from the point of view of any harry alive or dead.
technology has its boons but when man starts to feel the butterfly in his stomach and try to become the avataar of the technology , the concept of the man and machine mingling starts to overdrive the personified assumptions, something is there to make us realize about our faults . And this case is also a one example of man over confidence to boost his own self where he start ignoring the basic philosphies , failure theories, do improper analysis and in the end just suffer.
Not goin in full details of what went wrong, how went wrong and why went wrong, better read the book by the same name. Having new friends specially few from bhopal itself make the issue more close to you, even more closer if U got to know that one was there right at the time of this happening.
feeling the shrill and chill in the spine, so going for dine
